Some years ago when my son needed a corsage for his date, I thought, “I can do that! It will be fun!” So I watched my first-ever Youtube video and spent a whole Sunday afternoon making that one corsage.  It WAS fun!! So much fun that I started taking classes, got into working with flowers, and have been doing it ever since!

My professional experience includes training from the Floral Design Institute, certificates from various courses, working for a flower shop, a freelance designer, and a custom floral designer. I have had my own floral business since 2012. My formal design experience started with earning a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota, and my floral design work is influenced by that training.
